Start Dates and Application Fees

This page provides important information on trimester start dates, early application deadlines, orientation attendance requirements, and the application fee schedule for graduate programs at Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU). Applicants are encouraged to plan ahead and submit completed applications well in advance of the published deadlines.

Application Deadlines and Program Start Dates

Applicants should aim to have completed applications received at least one month prior to the start of the trimester for which they are applying; this is based on the orientation date, so this will be the last Friday of the cutoff month except to avoid lining up with holidays. Students who submit after this point can be assessed an additional late fee for their application. The schedule below highlights the 2027 trimester dates and early application deadlines:

Spring 2027 Schedule

• New Student Orientation: December 31st, 2026
• First Day of Classes: January 4th, 2027
• Early Application Deadline: November 30th, 2026

Summer 2027 Schedule

• New Student Orientation: April 30th, 2027
• First Day of Classes: May 3rd, 2027
• Early Application Deadline: March 26th, 2027

Fall 2027 Schedule

• New Student Orientation: July 30th, 2027
• First Day of Classes: August 30th, 2027
• Early Application Deadline: June 25th, 2027

Orientation Information

The new student orientation is a mandatory requirement for all matriculated students in master’s programs (including dual degree programs). All new students must attend orientation as scheduled. If unable to attend on a given date, students must arrange an alternate orientation schedule with the Dean’s Office.

Application Fee Schedule

Applications will not be processed until all required documents and fees are received. Only completed applications are reviewed by the admissions committee.

Standard Application Fee

• $75.00: Standard application fee for domestic applicants.

Late Application Fee

• $100.00: Assessed when applications are received after the posted “Early Application Deadline” (approx. one month before orientation date).

Transfer Student Fee

• $100.00: For students transferring from another acupuncture/TCM institution.

Foreign Student Paperwork Fee

• $425.00: Charged for international applications, in addition to the standard and late fees as applicable.

Application Processing and Notes

Applications are reviewed only when complete with all necessary documentation and fees. Eligible applicants may be invited to schedule an interview with the administrative director. Final admissions decisions are made following the interview. Applicants not accepted due to class capacity may be placed on a waiting list.
