Catch CCMU’s November Open House
Interested in CCMU’s programs but want a bit more information? CCMU’s upcoming open house on November 12th from 6:00-7:30 PM is a great way for prospective students to get a face-to-face information session with our admissions staff outside of normal working hours. While we encourage future students to attend in person for the chance at exciting CCMU swag, those bundled up at home can still attend and ask questions via a simultaneous livestream. For those who can’t make it or want a full campus tour, you can always reach out to our admissions team for information on availability!

CCMU Achieves High Marks in IRB Review by World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies
On October 8th through the 11th, CCMU was visited by dignitaries from the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies, an international association of traditional Chinese medical institutions that works in partnership with organizations such as the World Health Organization and UNESCO. This visit was part of an assessment process for international recognition of CCMU’s institutional review board, an important step to validate the ethical standard and quality of our research. Our IRB, led by Joseph Brady, received strong praise during the site review from WFCMS’ working team. CCMU hopes for this to be another step towards our goal of showing our school to be a world-class research institution in traditional Chinese medicine.

CCMU Brings Traditional Chinese Medicine to Seniors
On September 30th, Dr. Rui Nan, an esteemed long-serving member of our faculty, led a seminar on Traditional Chinese Medicine at Autumn Adult Day Services. This event, sponsored by Pod Health and CCMU, included both an educational lecture on the everyday application of traditional Chinese medicine principles for promoting and maintaining health as one ages, as well as a personal pulse diagnosis by Dr. Nan for the present seniors. Pod Health involved us in this work as part of their wider commitment to senior health as a company providing telehealth services and 24/7 monitoring for chronic care.
We humbly thank Pod Health for facilitating this event and Autumn Adult Day Services for hosting us and allowing us to help give their patients valuable tools for a long and healthy life.

Upcoming Continuing Education Seminar:
Dao Needle Therapy Certification Course
(Nov 7-9th at CCMU)
Master the core principles, techniques, and protocols of this transformative therapy designed to consistently and effectively treat stubborn pain, scar tissue, and postural issues. This method utilizes a specialized style of acupuncture needle and a variety of advanced diagnostic tools to achieve reliable, lasting results. This course offers a powerful, results-driven approach to care. Through interactive lectures, hands-on practice, and live demonstrations, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to integrate Dao Needle Therapy® into your clinical practice.
The Denver course combines the two-day Dāo Needle Therapy Foundation Certification Course with the one-day Master Class and includes instruction, live demonstrations, practical exercises, and direct feedback from Brian Bowen, the founder of Dao Needle Therapy®.
The Certification Course establishes the system’s foundational assessment and treatment methods. The Master Class builds on that material with more advanced applications for complex and chronic presentations. Both courses count separately as 15 NCCAOM-approved CEUs, for a total of 30 for completing both.
CCMU students can attend both courses for only $795.

Introduction of Pod Health
Pod Health is a healthcare service provider specializing in Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) and telehealth services. Our programs help Medicare beneficiaries manage chronic health conditions safely and comfortably from home while working alongside their existing Primary Care Physician (PCP) as an added layer of support.
Eligible Medicare patients receive easy-to-use monitoring devices at no cost, including blood pressure monitors, glucose meters, thermometers, pulse oximeters, and weight scales. These devices automatically transmit health readings to our clinical care team, enabling continuous monitoring without requiring patients to leave their homes.
Our medical staff monitors patient data 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. If a patient’s readings fall outside of safe ranges or indicate a potential health concern, our care team responds promptly by contacting the patient, providing guidance, and coordinating appropriate follow-up care. This proactive approach helps identify issues early, reduces unnecessary hospital visits, and supports seniors in maintaining their health, independence, and quality of life.
Many seniors are unaware that these valuable Medicare-covered services are available to them. Our mission is to educate the community, raise awareness, and connect eligible individuals with healthcare resources that can improve their overall well-being and help them stay healthier at home.
