Tai Chi and Qigong in the Park: An Expo Series Event for Healthy Aging and Whole-Person Health
June 1 @ 9:00 am - August 24 @ 10:00 am
A Community Invitation to Healthy Aging, Whole-Person Health, and the Art of Nourishing Life
This summer, Colorado Chinese Medicine University is pleased to present Tai Chi and Qigong in the Park as part of the Colorado Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Expo Series, a community wellness initiative dedicated to healthy aging, whole-person health, and practical approaches to lifelong vitality.
Held outdoors at Observatory Park every Monday morning from June through August, this free summer program invites community members of all ages and experience levels to enjoy the gentle, restorative practices of Tai Chi and Qigong in a welcoming and peaceful setting.
Tai Chi and Qigong are time-honored movement practices rooted in Chinese medicine and the traditional art of nourishing life. Through mindful breathing, gentle movement, balance training, and internal regulation, these practices support physical mobility, emotional calm, resilience, and overall well-being. They offer a simple yet meaningful way to care for the whole person—body, mind, breath, and spirit.
This program also reflects the broader vision of the Expo Series: bringing health education beyond the classroom and clinic into the community. By creating free and accessible opportunities for movement, connection, and learning, Tai Chi and Qigong in the Park supports healthy aging, social participation, lifelong learning, and community wellness.
Participants can expect expert guidance, gentle instruction suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners, and the uplifting experience of practicing together outdoors in one of Denver’s most beautiful parks. No special equipment is needed—just comfortable clothing, curiosity, and a willingness to begin.
Whether your goal is to improve balance, reduce stress, support mobility, strengthen vitality, or simply enjoy a peaceful summer morning with others, Tai Chi and Qigong in the Park offers a meaningful path toward healthier aging and whole-person well-being.
