Get Information About Our Entry Level and Advanced Degree Programs
CCMU has two (2) open house programs:
- One for our entry level programs, Master degrees (MAc and MAcCHM) and Professional Doctorate (PD) programs (DAc and DAcCHM). Please note that the entry level Master’s or PD degree is an eligibility requirement for acupuncture licensing.
- One for our advanced degree program, the Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM). Please note that the advanced degree program requires all applicants to be Licensed Acupuncturists.
At our Open House you can:
- Speak with members of the Administration, Faculty, and Alumni
- Tour the school, student clinic, and our other facilities

In the event that you are unable to attend any of the Open Houses, you may contact our Admissions Office to schedule a tour. Tours are typically scheduled on Tuesday & Thursday. If you are out of state and traveling to Denver please contact us with at least one-month advance notice.
Entry Level Programs
Colorado Chinese Medicine University offers the following courses of study for graduate candidates:
- Master of Acupuncture
- Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine
- Master of Acupuncture/ Doctor of Acupuncture ⇒ dual degree masters/doctorate
- Master of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine/ Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine ⇒ dual degree masters/doctorate with Chinese Herbs

Advanced DAOM Programs
The Qi Medicine system, a unique and complete medical system taught only in CCMU, is truly achieving what is taught in the Huangdi Neijing: ‘Do not ask about the disease, aim for balance’.
- Learn a new and highly effective system to treat your patients based on the classics.
- Learn advanced pulse assessment, using only 6 pulses.
- Learn advanced treatments modalities in addition to innovative acupuncture & herbal medicine to diagnose and treat Qi concerns.
