Tutoring and Academic Support
Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) offers tutoring and academic support resources to help students engage successfully with their coursework in traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and related disciplines. These services include organized study sessions, opportunities to arrange individual tutoring, and encouragement of peer study groups.
Overview of Tutoring Services
Tutoring services at CCMU are part of the institution’s broader academic support framework. Students may seek assistance to strengthen core knowledge, prepare for exams, or clarify coursework concepts. Tutoring may be arranged between students and tutors, with the assistance of the Academic Dean of Students.
Tutor Arrangements and Support
No-Cost Study Sessions
Each trimester, CCMU offers tutored study sessions at no cost to students, providing structured environments for review and reinforcement of course material.
Tutor Negotiation with Faculty
Students can also arrange individual or small-group tutoring support through negotiation between the student and a tutor or faculty member. The Academic Dean of Students may assist in locating suitable tutors. Costs may apply for individualized tutorial arrangements as agreed upon by the student and tutor.
Peer Study Groups
CCMU encourages students to form peer study groups to collaborate on challenging subjects and prepare for exams. Students interested in forming study groups may seek assistance from the Academic Dean of Students for coordination.
How to Request Tutoring Support
Students seeking tutoring or academic support should contact the Dean of Students or the relevant department coordinator. Requests can be made via email or phone during posted office hours. Assistance may include matching students with tutors or guidance on study strategies.
