Professor Practitioners
At Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU), professor-practitioners serve as both academic faculty and licensed clinical professionals. They integrate real-world patient care with classical Chinese medicine theory and modern biomedical knowledge to provide students with rigorous, practice-based medical education.
This dual-role model ensures that students receive instruction grounded in authentic clinical experience while patients benefit from expert-level, evidence-informed integrative healthcare.
Overview of Professor-Practitioners
CCMU professor-practitioners are experienced acupuncturists and Chinese medicine clinicians who actively engage in teaching, clinical supervision, research, and patient treatment. Their combined academic and clinical roles support CCMU’s mission to advance traditional Chinese medicine through education, innovation, and ethical healthcare delivery.
By bridging classroom instruction with hands-on clinical practice, professor-practitioners help prepare students to become highly competent, compassionate, and professional healthcare providers.
