Professional Doctor Completer Track Program
The Professional Doctor Completer Track Program at Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) offers a pathway for eligible graduates to complete a professional doctorate in acupuncture (DAc) or acupuncture with Chinese herbal medicine (DAcCHM). This program comprises 330 instructional hours and 17 academic credits designed to build advanced clinical competence following completion of a qualifying master’s degree.

Program Overview
This track serves students who have completed an ACAHM-accredited entry-level master’s program in Chinese medicine. The completer track allows students to fulfill additional requirements for their chosen professional doctorate through structured coursework and clinical instruction.

Eligibility and Admissions Requirements
In compliance with the Accreditation Commission for Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (ACAHM) standards, students entering the Professional Doctorate programs – DAc and DAcCHM – must satisfy the following requirements:
- Has completed an ACAHM-accredited or pre-accredited entry-level Master’s program in Chinese medicine. For the DAc program the degree must minimally be an Acupuncture Degree and for the DAcCHM program, the student must have achieved a Master’s degree that included full herbal training.
- Has completed 90 undergraduate college level credits from an accredited institution; or
- Has completed education in foreign countries where credits earned at a foreign educational institution has been validated by a recognized educational credentials evaluation service so to validate that the applicant has achieved professional competencies equivalent to an ACAHM-accredited or pre-accredited master’s- level program in Acupuncture and the 90 additional undergraduate level credits required.
