Highlights from the 1st Colorado Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Expo
(October 18–19, 2025)
The 1st Colorado Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Expo, hosted by CCMU & CMCO
at the JCC Denver, was a tremendous success!
Over two days, attendees enjoyed expert lectures, live acupuncture and herbal demonstrations,
free community clinics, and vendor exhibits showcasing holistic health and traditional medicine.
Special thanks to all volunteers, sponsors, faculty, and students who made this historic event possible.

CCMU Members Elected to International Leadership Roles
We are proud to share that Mr. Mark Manton and Mr. Joe Brady represented CCMU at the Inaugural Meeting of the International Association for Holistic Integrative Medicine (IAHIM) held in Xi’an, China, on October 18, 2025, alongside the China Anti-Cancer Association (CACA).
Mr. Manton was elected as Board Member, and Mr. Brady as Council Member.
During the conference, Mr. Manton presented on Qi Medicine as taught in CCMU’s DAOM program, which received great interest from international delegates.

CCMU Continues Its Support for the 9th World Congress of Integrative Medicine
Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) is honored to once again serve as a co-organizer of the 9th World Congress of Integrative Medicine, continuing its strong support from the 7th and 8th Congresses in previous years. CCMU remains committed to fostering global academic collaboration and advancing the integration of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern healthcare.
This year’s congress, themed Great Medicine · Great Health · Great Industry, held in Shenzhen, China (Oct 24–26, 2025) and Silicon Valley, USA (Dec 5–7, 2025), both onsite and online.
President Songtao Zhou and Professor Joe Brady have recorded video presentations for the congress.
Their talks will be featured through the official congress platform.

CCMU Students Participate in China Study Program
We are pleased to share exciting news from our partner institution, Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine (FJUTCM), celebrating the successful launch of the International Youth Short-Term Study Program.
Our student Kailey Smith, serving as the student representative, delivered an inspiring speech at the opening ceremony, expressing heartfelt gratitude to FJUTCM and emphasizing the importance of cross-cultural collaboration in advancing TCM education and research.


We also congratulate our alumna Wendy Davis, who proudly served as the flag bearer and was honored with the official study camp flag.
This meaningful exchange marks another milestone in CCMU’s dedication to fostering global academic dialogue, clinical innovation, and cultural understanding in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Leadership and Staffing Update
Colorado Chinese Medicine University is pleased to announce the following appointments:
Chris Schultze has been appointed Interim Dean, effective November 1, 2025. Chris has consistently demonstrated the CCMU values of Cooperation, Execution, Respect, and Responsibility through her active leadership and dedication during major university events such as the Dragon Boat Festival and the Colorado Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Expo.
Andrew Barili has transitioned from part-time to full-time Admissions & Financial Aid Officer, further strengthening student support and service quality in these key areas.
These updates reflect CCMU’s continued commitment to teamwork, accountability, and excellence in both academic and administrative operations.

CCMU Sponsors Denver Police Department’s “Trunk or Treat” at Empower Field
On October 30, 2025, the Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) was honored to sponsor the Denver Police Department’s annual “Trunk or Treat” community event at Empower Field, which welcomed more than 11,000 children and families.
In partnership with the Far East Center, CCMU contributed thousands of kid-sized pumpkins, to help create a safe and festive celebration for Denver families. Joe Brady, Jacqui Shumway, and Songtao Zhou personally helped transport and deliver the pumpkins, demonstrating the university’s spirit of teamwork, service, and community connection.
This sponsorship reflects CCMU’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, cultural connection, and public wellness education, and provides valuable experience for future outreach partnerships aligned with the university’s mission.

Program Offerings
Explore our diverse program offerings, ranging from our outstanding Master program to the convenient and flexible
PD Program Completer Track, and to the comprehensive DAOM Program.
1. Masters Program, to be an effective practitioner
- Duration: 28 months to 36 months
- Format: Hybrid with online and on-campus
- Total Hours: MAc 2,400 hours; MAcCHM 3,075 hours
2. PD Program Completer Track, specialized in woman’s health and oncology
- Duration: 8 months
- Format: 100% online
- Total Hours: 330 hours
- Work for Tuition Opportunity (Onsite Only): Work 2 days/week to cover the tuition
3. DAOM Program, specialized in utilizing Qi medicine in clinical practice
- Duration: 2 years
- Format: Mostly online with 1 week on-campus sessions
- Total Hours: 1,215 hours
- Scholarship: Up to $15,000 available
- Work for Tuition Opportunity (Onsite Only): Work 2 days/week to cover the tuition
