Professional Licensure/Certification
Colorado Chinese Medicine University® offers four academic programs leading to professional licensure. (MAc, DAc, MAcCHM, DAcCHM).
These programs are designed to prepare a student for potential licensure/certification in the State of Colorado and most other states. However, they may or may not meet the educational requirements for a licensure/certification in another state. If you are planning to seek a professional license/certification outside Colorado, it is important for you to know the specific requirements of the state in which you intend to apply for licensure/certification.
Please use this table to determine which of the four professional licensure programs offered by Colorado Chinese Medicine University® meets licensing requirements in states outside of Colorado. Licensing Disclosure, Licensing and Professional Resources – Colorado Chinese Medicine University®
Relocation
Prospective and current students should keep in mind that licensing requirements vary by state and that relocating during the course of a program to another state could impact whether a student can continue in the program, meet the eligibility requirements of that state, and/or receive financial aid funding. If students are considering relocating, they should contact their program to check for licensure eligibility requirements.
International Students
Prior to enrolling in any program at CCMU, prospective students living and/or working outside of the United States should confirm with the appropriate certifying agency whether successful completion of any degree program at CCMU will meet the credentialing requirements of the country in which they intend to seek employment, as to certain types of employment or for professional licensure programs.
