DAOM Financial Support & Scholarships
Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) provides several financial support options for students enrolled in the Doctor of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (DAOM) program. These include tuition discounts, merit-based scholarships, federal loan options, and on-campus work opportunities designed to help manage the cost of graduate doctoral education.
Tuition Discounts
Student and Faculty Discounts
CCMU offers tuition discounts that apply to the instructional portion of the DAOM program.

Graduate Student Discount: 10% off tuition

Former CCMU Faculty: 15% off tuition

Current CCMU Faculty: 20%–35% off tuition based on years of service
Note: Discounts do not apply to fees, books, or supplies.
Early Payment Discount
Students who pay tuition in full at the time of admission may be eligible for a 5% discount on tuition charges.
Scholarship Opportunities
Merit-based scholarships are available for qualified DAOM students.
Academic Achievement scholarship
$5000 awarded to students who achieved a GPA>3.8 in the Master’s program.
Business Achievement scholarship
$5000 awarded to students who own a clinic with an annual income exceeding $65,000.
Research and Publishing Achievement scholarship
$5000 awarded to students who have published more than five articles or one book in the TCM field.
Maximum Combined Support
The total combined amount of discounts and scholarships a student may receive is limited to $15,000.
Federal Financial Aid Options
While CCMU’s advanced practice DAOM program may not currently participate in all federal aid programs, eligible students may pursue Title IV loan options, including Unsubsidized Direct Loans and Graduate PLUS Loans, by applying through FAFSA and meeting program requirements.
Work Opportunities for DAOM Students
Students enrolled in the DAOM program may work on campus up to two days per week as a means of earning income to assist with tuition payments and other educational expenses.
