To foster the professional growth of our graduates and provide accessible healthcare to the community, Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) and the Chinese Medicine Community Organization (CMCO) are thrilled to offer the Incubator Project. This program provides graduates with an affordable opportunity to enhance their skills, gain practical experience, and serve the community.
CCMU Incubator Project
The CCMU Incubator Project is a practice support initiative offered by Colorado Chinese Medicine University in collaboration with the Chinese Medicine Community Organization (CMCO). This program provides graduates with an affordable opportunity to gain practical clinical experience, refine professional skills, and serve the community while building a practice foundation.
Program Overview
The Incubator Project offers access to a fully equipped clinical practice space located at the CCMU campus (1441 York St, Denver, CO 80206). Graduates can schedule weekly shifts for patient care and hands-on experience in a supervised setting.
Shift Options and Scheduling
Applicants can choose between 3-hour shifts and 5-hour shifts to accommodate their schedules.
3-Hour Shifts(Weekly)
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
- Thursday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Friday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
- Sunday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
5-Hour Shifts(Weekly)
- Monday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
- Tuesday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Sunday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Shift times may update over time, and detailed schedules are provided upon enrollment.
Participation Costs and Amenities
To support graduates, the project is offered at low monthly rates:

3-Hour Shift: $50/month (for CCMU graduates; non-graduates $100/month)

5-Hour Shift: $60/month (for CCMU graduates; non-graduates $120/month)
Utilities (electricity and water) are included. Supplies such as needles, gloves, cotton balls, alcohol, and examination paper are not provided.
Eligibility Requirements
Participation requires:

A valid Colorado acupuncture license, and
-
Malpractice and professional liability insurance.
These requirements ensure participants are qualified to practice safely in the clinical setting.
Benefits of Participation
The Incubator Project is designed to provide graduates with more than just a practice space. Participants gain experience and skills essential for running a successful practice by themself, including:

- Marketing and Promotion: Learn to attract and retain patients using marketing strategies supported by CCMU and CMCO.
- Scheduling and Billing: Develop skills in managing patient appointments, billing, and payment systems.
- Insurance Processing: Gain firsthand experience in handling insurance claims and reimbursements.
- Time Management: Balance clinic hours and patient care with personal and professional goals.
- Networking: Build relationships with peers, mentors, and the community.
