Theme: “Ancient Wisdom and Modern Science”
On October 18–19, 2025, Colorado Chinese Medicine University (CCMU) proudly hosted the first-ever Colorado Acupuncture & Herbal Medicine Expo in Denver — a landmark event bringing together practitioners, scholars, students, and the public to celebrate the integration of traditional wisdom and modern health science.

The Expo received a congratulatory letter from Governor Jared Polis, and we were deeply honored to welcome Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser, a leading candidate for the next Governor, who attended in person and delivered an inspiring opening address.
The two-day event drew over 1,500 RSVPs and more than 500 attendees, featuring expert lectures, interactive panels, herbal medicine exhibits, and a vibrant Taiji demonstration. In total, our free community clinic provided over 400 acupuncture and herbal treatments, showcasing CCMU’s ongoing mission to serve the community with accessible, holistic healthcare.

We extend heartfelt thanks to all faculty, students, and volunteers for their dedication and teamwork.
Special recognition goes to those who served throughout both full days of the Expo, contributing to every part of the event — from clinical service and logistics to program hosting, academic presentations, and public engagement:
Joe Brady, Jacqui Shumway, Rui Nan,Chris Schultze, Kierstyn Potter, and Trevor Adams.
Their leadership and tireless service truly embodied the heart of CCMU.
The success of this inaugural Expo reflects CCMU’s growing role as a bridge between education, research, and community health. We look forward to continuing this tradition — and to welcoming everyone again next year to celebrate the healing power of Chinese Medicine.
